Translink is responsible for all aspects of municipal transportation in Vancouver, B.C. It operates the Bus Services, SkyTrain, West Coast Express and Seabus.
Translink's Trip Planner will help users plan trips to different destinations. It tells you which route(s) to use, how long the trip will take, if there are any transfers involved and how much it costs. It will even show you if there's any walking required to get from one stop to another.
There are two main prepaid fare options for all public transit services:
Compass Cards (reloadable, for multiple uses)
Compass Cards can be purchased from:
· Any Compass Vending Machine at any SkyTrain, SeaBus, and West Coast Express stations.
· Compass Retailers: London Drugs, Seven Eleven, Mac’s Convenience Store, Safeway, Save On Foods, Shoppers Drug Mart, etc…
· Online at compasscard.ca
· Through phone at 604.398.2042
Compass Tickets (non-reloadable, for single use)
Compass Tickets can be purchased from any Compass Vending Machine at any SkyTrain, SeaBus, and West Coast Express stations. They are valid only on the day they are purchased and expire at 4 a.m., even if they have not been used.
Compass Vending Machines accept cash, credit, and debit. Online payment and AutoLoad enrollment can be done with Visa, Mastercard, Visa Debit, and Debit Mastercard. It can take up to two hours for your Compass product to be available for use. If you purchase fare products at a CVM, they'll be available for use immediately.
